ST LOUIS GROUP Inc., was coined in 1999 and was actualized in 2004 when
the whole administration of St Louis activities was reviewed with the help of Mr.
Peter Jaeger sent in from Senior Expert Service Bonn to help.
The St Louis Clinic started 12 years ago with its objectives. Training was part
of the long term goal. Dr Ngwanyam was the director.
The St Louis Higher Institute of Health came into being 2002/2003. It has dual authorization
from the Ministries of Health & Higher Education Yaoundé. The later is crowned
by a visa from the Prime Minister's office No 001143 0f 18th May, 2006 .
It trains paramedical personnel (Nursing, Dentistry,
Pharmacy, Lab Technology, Physiotherapy). In 2006 it had 320 students. There were
536 students in academic year 2007/2008. 133 are sitting for the final HPD Examination by the Ministry of Higher Education.
%1 will sit for the Certification exam by the Ministry of Public Health. (July,
2008). Results would be available by August/September 2008.
We also have a community pharmacy which sells drugs
to the public. (Karen Pharmacy). Our desire for industrialization became stronger
after a detailed S.W.O.T. ANALYSIS of
our activities and our poverty and HIV/AIDS stricken environment.
CIDEC (Cameroon Industrial and Development Corporation) has been created
to meet these needs. It shall create its own factories, help others to do same and
contribute in the creation of direct and indirect jobs for 50,000 youths with internal
& external help.
Every day, we get a better perspective and understanding of our vision, goal, objectives,
mission, difficulties and tools for success. More hands are needed for the proper
handling and daily follow-up of activities. The St Louis Group has a clear cut organizational
chart for better management.
It is our wish and desire to contribute in the effective transfer of technology
and the fight of poverty in our milieu. We have to add value to our raw materials,
decrease dependence on the importation of common things, create jobs, develop man
power and participate in civil society contribution for good governance.
We try to follow
P.E.S.T. to the letter to induce sound development in our country and sub-region.
( Develop good Policies, Work on sound Economic Principles for sustainability and
efficiency, Science and Technology are our multiplication tools for creating jobs
and wealth).
We try to be as honest as we possibly can and PROACTIVITY is our stock in trade. Share
